Hickory has wild color variations and is a very dense hardwood.  Almost “calico”, the color variations are similar to the of the character grades of Maple. 

    Widths: 1½”, 2¼”, 3¼”, 4”, 5” ▪ Thickness: 3/4” ▪ Hardness:1820                                          

Hickory Select This grade of Hickory contains some color variation, an occasional "pin" knot and minimal dark streaks. This is an exceptional floor. Average length 36"	Hickory Common This grade of Hickory contains wild color variations and dramatic wood characteristics. The colors range from very dark to nearly white; the grade includes discolored sapwood, heavy dramatic streaks, sound knots, checks and splits. It is a classic rustic/cabin grade of floor. Average length 30"
