Cherry

American Cherry - Premier species of the North American Hardwoods.  The varying grades allow one to be rather grand or casual in the floors appearance.  Extremely light sensitive, cherry darkens dramatically over time and character marks become distinguishing features.  Color can range significantly between boards, with shades ranging from light to dark reddish-brown to light pink.

Widths: 1½”, 2¼”, 3¼”, 4”, 5” ▪ Thickness: 3/4” ▪ Hardness: 950

Brazilian Cherry - Is as beautiful as it is durable.  Freshly milled Brazilian cherry has a yellowish/tan color.  This dramatically darkens over several months to the popular reddish brown/burgundy color.  The deep, rich color contains fine, dark, mineral streaks. This is the hardest of your wood choices.  The background of this page is Brazilian Cherry.

Widths: 2½”, 3”, 4”, 5” ▪ Thickness: 3/4” ▪ Hardness: 2350

American Cherry Select

This grade of Cherry has a little natural color variation found in the heartwood and a very small amount of contrasting sapwood. There maybe the occasional small pin knot and tiny black streak. This floor is super "fancy" and will mellow with age.

Average length 36"

American Cherry Common

This grade of Cherry may contain prominent color variation between the light sapwood and the dark heartwood and may also have numerous knots and black streaks. This makes for a floor which still maintains elegance yet has a warm casual charm.

Average length 42"
